RC700 - Switch Modes

In this article you will learn how to switch RC700 reader modes.

RC700 reader can operate as a CCID reader, as a CDC reader or as a HID reader (send card serial number as a Keyboard entry)

Installing RC700 Switch

1 - Download the ZIP file RC700_Switch.zip 

2 - Unzip the file to a known location

3 - Run the program setup.exe

4 - Follow the instructions on the screen

Running RC700 Switch

1 – Execute the RC700 USB Switch programa that you have installed

2 – In the screen below, select the RC700 reader and click on desired mode to switch

3 - In some cases you must put a Mifare card on the reader to change the mode

About HID Mode

When you select To HID you be prompted to choose between: 

    - Standard Mode wich outputs card UID as hexadecimal (recommended)

    - Convert UID to long and left pad with zeros (works only with 4 bytes UID)
