Instructions e Requisites

To update the SCR916 Firmware you must install PIDE (an IDE from Planeta to run scripts on various readers).

The SCR916 must be plugged on a USB port and you have to be connected to Internet to download PIDE and during the Update process (the new firmware will be downloaded from our servers).

Downloading PIDE

To download PIDE access the page: PIDE (planeta.inf.br) then click on Install button and follow the instructions on the screen.

Accessing PIDE

After installation, access the Start menu and go to Planeta Informática LTDA/PIDE. Click on PIDE to execute the program.

Using PIDE to Update SCR916 Firmware

To update the firmware, follow the steps below:

1 – On PIDE Main Screen click on Tools / Reader Update to see the screen:

2 – Click on Settings / Order Number and fill with Order information received

3 – Click on Settings / License and fill with License information receive

4 – Click on <Update> button to start update process

5 – After download and install the new firmware, the SCR916 will blink and some bips will be emited.

6 - In the  update screen you can see the result of update process:
